Learn about how to use SnapShooter to backup DigitalOcean files to Filebase.

What is SnapShooter?

SnapShooter allows you to take up to hourly backups for your DigitalOcean Servers, Files and Databases.

Filebase has partnered with SnapShooter to allow our customers to transport hourly snapshots up in a timely manner to Filebase. DigitalOcean Servers, Files, and Databases all within the touch of a button.

Read below to learn how to use SnapShooter to backup DigitalOcean files to Filebase.

Prerequisites:

• Create a SnapShooter Account.

• Sign up for a free Filebase account.

• Have your Filebase Access and Secret Keys. Learn how to view your access keys here.

• Create a Filebase Bucket. Learn how to create a bucket here.

1. Navigate to your SnapShooter account.

2. Select Attach External Backup Storage.

3. Select Filebase from the Storage Provider dropdown and select the correct provider region.

• Paste in your saved access key and secret access key.

• Enter the correct bucket name and press save.

• SnapShooter will check that the API key is valid and works before allowing you to save.

Once setup is complete you're ready to backup your data!
