Learn how to use SimpleBackups to backup databases to Filebase.

What is SimpleBackups?

SimpleBackups is an all-in-one website & database backup automation service. It offers extensive support to databases like: MySQL, MongoDB and PostgreSQL.

Filebase has partnered with SimpleBackups because they simplify the website & database backups process. It detects failures and notifies you when backups fail or when they are expected to fail. SimpleBackups also fully automates the backup creation process by using the automation features and the API.

Prerequisites:

• Create a SimpleBackups account.

• Sign up for a free Filebase account.

• Have your Filebase Access and Secret Keys. Learn how to view your access keys here.

• Have a Filebase Bucket. Learn how to create a bucket here.

• Make sure you have your server connected to your account (For DB Backups)

Connect your Bucket to SimpleBackups

Log into SimpleBackups and head to the connect your storage page.

Select Filebase, and fill in the form with your Filebase Access and Secret Keys and bucket name.

You'll need to input :

• Key: Filebase Access Key

• Secret: Filebase Secret Key

• Region: us-east-1

• Bucket: Filebase Bucket Name

• Give your storage a name (the bucket name is usually a good pick, but you can be creative) and click on "Save new storage".
