MSP360 Online Backup

Learn how to configure MSP360 Online Backup for use with Filebase.

What is MSP360?

MSP360, formerly CloudBerry Lab, is a simple and reliable backup configuration client that works with a multitude of cloud storage providers. MSP360 is certified for use with Filebase. Read below to learn how to configure MSP360 with Filebase.

Prerequisites:

1. After installing the MSP360 Online Backup agent on your local computer, navigate to https://console.msp360.com/AP/Default.aspx.

Login with your MSP360 account.

2. Select the ‘Storage’ tab in the top left of the menu, and then select ‘Storage Accounts’.

3. Select ‘Add account’ in the right corner of the Storage screen.

4. Select ‘S3 Compatible’ For the type of Cloud Storage.

5. Configure Filebase Cloud Storage by filling out MSP360 with the following information:

Display Name: Filebase

Access Key: Filebase Access Key

Secret Key: Filebase Secret Key

Signature Version: 4

Check ‘Use Native Multipart Upload’. This is recommended. For more information on Multipart Upload, see here.

HTTP Endpoint: Leave blank, Filebase does not support HTTP.

HTTPS Endpoint: s3.filebase.com

6. Create a new bucket or select an existing bucket.

7. Assign to the company your user is a part of.

8. Review settings and select Save.

9. Your Filebase configuration will now be listed under your Storage Accounts.

10. Open the MSP360 Backup App that you downloaded to your computer and login to your MSP360 account.

11. At the home page, you will be prompted to ‘Create a new backup plan’.

Select the type of backup plan you’d like to configure. This example uses a File based backup.

12. Click ‘Next’ when the Backup Plan Wizard opens.

13. Select the Filebase configuration for the Backup Storage account.

14. Provide a name for the Backup plan.

15. Configure advanced options.

Using ‘fast NTFS scan’ is recommended if you are backing up a large number of files.

16. Select the files and folders desired to be backed up.

17. Configure additional filters for the selected files to be backed up.

19. Enable a Full Consistency Check to ensure the integrity of the backup.

20. Configure a backup schedule for this backup configuration.

21. Configure the backup retention policy.

22. Configure any pre or post backup actions.

23. Review the summary of your backup configuration.

24. Your backup plan has been created successfully.

Select to run the backup now, then select ‘Finish’.

25. You will now see the backup plan listed under Backup Plans.
