How To Delete Data with CyberDuck

Learn how to delete entire buckets or large numbers of objects from buckets using CyberDuck.

The Filebase web dashboard supports deleting up to 1,000 objects at one time. In some situations, it may be tedious and time consuming to delete 1,000 objects at a time. The web dashboard also supports emptying an entire bucket. While this might be the fastest solution in some situations, others may require only certain files be deleted, not just everything within a bucket.

This guide will showcase how to use CyberDuck to delete multiple, entire buckets at one time, as well as delete multiple specific objects at once.

Prerequisites:

Deleting One or More Buckets

1. Open CyberDuck.

2. Select your Filebase connection.

3. You will see all your Filebase buckets listed.

To delete multiple buckets, select the desired buckets by clicking and dragging a selection box around them.

Or select them individually by clicking and holding CTRL while selecting the desired buckets.

4. Once the intended buckets are selected, right click in the CyberDuck window and select ‘delete’.

5. You will be prompted to confirm this deletion.

6. Your deletions should now be reflected in the CyberDuck window.
