Filebase NFT Backup allows you to preserve your NFT collections by backing up the associated media and metadata to IPFS. With support for 24+ blockchain networks, you can ensure your digital assets remain accessible regardless of what happens to the original hosting.

What is NFT Backup?

NFTs often reference media (images, videos, audio) and metadata stored on centralized servers or IPFS nodes that may go offline. NFT Backup scans your wallet, identifies your NFTs, and pins their associated content to Filebase's geo-redundant IPFS infrastructure.

How It Works

1. Wallet Scan: Enter your wallet address and select the blockchain network

2. NFT Discovery: Filebase queries marketplace APIs to discover your NFTs

3. Preview: Review the NFTs found in your wallet before backing up

4. Backup: Select which NFTs to back up and choose a destination bucket

5. Pinning: Media and metadata are fetched and pinned to IPFS

Status Workflow

Each NFT backup progresses through these states:

Status	Description
Queued	Backup request received, waiting to process
Pinning	Content is being fetched and pinned to IPFS
Pinned	Backup complete, content available on IPFS
Failed	Backup failed (content may be unavailable at source)

Data Sources

Filebase uses trusted marketplace APIs to discover NFT data:

NFT discovery depends on marketplace indexing. Recently minted NFTs may take time to appear.

What Gets Backed Up

For each NFT, the backup includes:

• Media: The primary image, video, or audio file

• Metadata: The JSON metadata file containing traits and properties

• Additional Assets: Any secondary media referenced in the metadata
